What is the Emerging Entrepreneurs Program?

The prestigious St. Mary’s University Greehey School of Business Emerging Entrepreneurs Program enhances students’ professional development and prepares them for outstanding careers as entrepreneurs or small business owners, and to work in startups and innovative corporations.

Emerging Entrepreneurs participate and network in the Greehey School of Business Forum on Entrepreneurship Series; travel to regional, national and international entrepreneurship conferences and pitch competitions; attend entrepreneurial workshops; receive mentoring; and collaborate with the Director of the Meadows Center for Entrepreneurial Studies in additional initiatives.

Prospective Emerging Entrepreneurs

The Emerging Entrepreneurs program provides a select group of students majoring in Management with a track in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at St. Mary’s University with opportunities to succeed professionally and personally.


Scholarship Funding

Participants receive a scholarship of $1,500 each semester, up to a maximum of four years (eight semesters).


Requirements

Admission into the Emerging Entrepreneurs program is by invitation only. The following are the minimum application requirements:

  • Cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher (recommended).
  • Acceptance to St. Mary’s University as a declared major in Management with a track in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
    • Minors in Entrepreneurship and Innovation are not eligible.
  • Qualified students will be invited to submit an Emerging Entrepreneur application by March 5, 2026.
  • Applicants will be notified of a decision no later than April 6, 2026.
  • Selected applicants must accept or decline the fund offer by May 4, 2026.
