Cultivating Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs
At St. Mary’s University, we encourage our students to pursue real-world experiences while still in school. Through the Greehey School of Business, the Future Founders Seed Fund provides emerging student entrepreneurs with modest seed capital to explore innovative start‑up ideas and put their business skills into practice while on campus. Designed to spark experimentation and cultivate a growth mindset, the fund fosters courage, momentum and hands‑on entrepreneurial development. These stipends enable students to turn classroom concepts into real‑world ventures by providing the resources to explore, test and confidently begin their entrepreneurial journey.
By offering support at the earliest and most formative stages of venture creation, the Future Founders Seed Fund helps nurture the next generation of business innovators and strengthens a vibrant culture of creativity and initiative across the campus. Through this initiative, we are creating equitable pathways that build and strengthen entrepreneurial skills for all our students.
Stipend Funding
Every new, eligible business student will receive a start‑up seed stipend (up to $1,000) that can be used after their first year to advance their venture idea. These stipends can help students validate early concepts, purchase initial materials or software, conduct market research, prototype ideas, test business models and take meaningful first steps toward launching a viable venture.
Some exclusions may apply.
