All undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. students should complete an Application for Graduation online via Gateway when registering for their final semester.

Deadlines to apply for graduation

Students should refer to the Academic Calendar for the Graduation Application deadline.

Final Graduation Audit

The submission of the Application for Graduation will initiate a final degree audit to confirm that graduation requirements will be fulfilled based on the courses completed and to be completed. Students will be notified of any issues that may prevent graduation.

Diploma Information

The name on the diploma will be printed based on the name submitted on the application online, so please give careful consideration to how you wish your name to appear on your diploma when submitting the application online. Diplomas will be mailed by first-class mail, so a valid after graduation address should be indicated.

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D., and law diplomas are all 11″ x 14″, in landscape orientation.

Diploma Distribution

Students will receive their diplomas in the mail approximately two months after graduation.

Replacement Diploma (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Law or Ph.D.)

If a diploma is lost or destroyed, a replacement diploma may be ordered by submitting an online order form to the Registrar’s Office. The fee for each diploma is $30 and must be paid online when submitting the request.

Allow approximately 3-5 weeks for processing once the form and payment are received. Diplomas are issued in the format currently used and bear the signature of the current University officers.
