The Student Health Center provides routine doctor visits at low cost. You are responsible for the cost of the doctor visit, any lab test, vaccines, medications, injections, procedures, durable medical equipment or any other miscellaneous charges.

If you have insurance with the St. Mary’s Student Health Plan, you will be billed $10 co-payment per office visit which will not go against your deductible or outpatient benefit. The Student Health Center will file a claim form for services incurred at the Student Health Center. If the St. Mary’s Student Health Insurance Plan does not cover a particular service, then the patient/student will incur a charge to their Student Business Account for the amount not covered by the insurance company. The St. Mary’s University Insurance Plan does not cover everything, so it is possible that a a patient on the plan will incur charges to their account. Please read your policy carefully and become familiar with the exclusions mentioned in the St. Mary’s University Health Insurance Plan.  If you have any questions, please contact the Student Health Center or Academic Health Plans.

The Student Health Center is not a participant of any HMO, PPO or private insurance plan. Therefore, we are unable to generate an insurance claim form to file with your private insurance. We can provide you with an itemized bill, but it is your responsibility to seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier. There is no guarantee that charges incurred at the Student Health Center will be reimbursed to you by your insurance carrier.
