St. Mary’s offers four leadership programs to the academic community: Emerging Leaders, Leadership Series, LRC and LeaderShape.
Emerging Leaders is a multi-week program offered each semester. The fall Emerging Leaders Program prepares students through workshops and presentations that lead to a greater awareness of self and personal accountability; facilitate the discernment of personal values; build and refresh foundational behaviors and skills that will increase confidence and empower; and find value in teamwork and serving others.
The spring Emerging Leaders Program helps participants develop a greater awareness of self and personal values, form a network of connections in the community, and ultimately, prepare for future leadership opportunities. The spring track compliments the fall program by seeking to educate participants on the broader concepts of leadership.
Participation in this program is equivalent to a lecture-based seminar on leadership. The program includes both a networking and service component.
Leadership Series is a monthly opportunity for St. Mary’s students to explore current events and leadership topics through the lens of our Marianist Charism.
The LRC in partnership with ROTC is aptly named “Mission: Possible.” Students will have to use strategic methods to get their group from one place to the other in this fun exciting low ropes course provided by the commanders in Camp Bullis.
The LeaderShape Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience that builds leadership skills no other program can match. And since 1986, over 31,000 participants from all over the world have graduated from our program. The purpose of the The LeaderShape Institute is to produce a breakthrough in the leadership capacity of participants and facilitators , which is demonstrated on their campus, in their community, and within their organization.
