Become a leader among your peers.

St. Mary’s University offers three leadership programs to students: Emerging Leaders, Leadership Series and The LeaderShape Institute.

Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leaders Program strives to strengthen student’s leadership skills by promoting ethical leadership based on the Marianist charism, and the Marianist Core Leadership Values (consultation and collaboration, inclusiveness and equality, adaptation and change, and community in mission). With the assistance of peer mentors, each Emerging Leader will develop relationships with other student leaders, faculty, and staff, as they gain knowledge and skills to make them better leaders. The program takes place in the fall and spring semesters each year.

Leadership Series

Leadership Series is a monthly opportunity for StMU students to explore current events and leadership topics through the lens of our Marianist Charism. Sessions are held every month, please contact leadership@stmarytx.edu for more information.

The LeaderShape Institute

The LeaderShape Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience that builds leadership skills no other program can match. Since 1986, over 31,000 participants from all over the world have graduated from the program. The purpose of the The LeaderShape Institute is to produce a breakthrough in the leadership capacity of participants and facilitators, which is demonstrated on campus, in the community, and within organizations.

Catalyst

Catalyst is a one-day LeaderShape program designed to help you focus on developing your own path, connecting to groups and causes you care about, and committing to being a catalyst for yourself and the common good.
