Brother and Student

The Marianist Forum is a community formed for the purpose of visibly continuing the implementation and development of the Marianist charism and heritage at St. Mary’s University.

In responding to God’s call to follow Jesus Christ, Son of God, who became son of Mary for the salvation of all, the Forum members, professed religious and lay persons, form a single community of faith in mission. They commit themselves to imitate Christ by growing in the love and service of God and neighbor.

The Marianist Forum serves its members and the University community in a variety of ways, including nurturing the development of its members in Marianist spirituality, tradition and ministry; fostering the development of the Marianist Forum as a community-in-mission; being a symbol of Marianist unity and purpose; being an active voice that foster and sustains dialogue concerning Roman Catholic tradition and Marianist life and ministry within the University; valuing the various faith tradition and religious practices of members of the University community; and promoting ways to develop, structure and institutionalize Marianist presence within the University.
