The St. Mary’s University School of Law will host a public forum on Friday, March 2 featuring both U.S. and Mexico officials discussing the issue of immigration.

The event, sponsored by the St. Mary’s School of Law’s International Law Association and Mexico’s National Commission for Human Rights, is called “Mexico-U.S. Immigration: Working Together for Real Solutions.”

Confirmed participants are U.S. Congressman Charles Gonzalez, Jose Luis Soberanes Fernanadez, president of Mexico’s National Commission for Human Rights and Lionel Sosa, founder of matt.org, Mexicans & Americans Thinking Together, a non-profit organization encouraging bicultural Mexicans and Americans to understand, address and solve issues facing both nations. Roberto Rosas, an instructor of law at St. Mary’s School of Law, will moderate the forum.
