Chemistry and biochemistry graduates have been very successful when applying to medical and graduate schools. Others have developed careers in industry, research organizations and the military.

The program stresses not only the fundamentals of chemistry and biochemistry, but the development of the intellectual skills necessary to apply them. To help meet these the goals, much of our laboratory program is based on the guided inquiry and discovery modes, while in the classroom, interactive learning is emphasized.
