St. Louis Scholars Award

The St. Louis Scholars Award is a scholarship program for top Catholic high school students from the greater St. Louis region. St. Mary’s is pleased to offer a $5,000 annual scholarship to select students currently attending a St. Louis Catholic high school and are interested in attending a Catholic, Marianist university. This award can be added to any academic merit scholarship offer that a student is awarded as part of the general admission process.


About the St. Louis Scholars Award

  • A $5,000 annual, stackable scholarship for four years (eight semesters) of full-time, undergraduate study
  • Awarded to first-time entering freshmen from the greater St. Louis area, preference will be given to students from the area’s Catholic high schools
  • Renewable for four years if the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Recipients are selected based on their academic achievement and commitment to the Marianist charism and the Characteristics of Marianist Education

    Complete the Application

    Complete the online St. Mary’s University Admission Application by March 1.

    Submit Your Essay

    Submit a two-page essay explaining why you are interested in pursuing a degree at a Catholic and Marianist university.

    Submit Two Letters of Reference

    Provide two letters of reference from either two high school officials or one high school official and one church or parish leader.
