The Department of Accounting in the Greehey School develops ethical leaders who are ready to enter the challenging and rewarding accounting profession. At the undergraduate level, the Department of Accounting offers a B.B.A. in Accounting and a B.B.A. in Accounting and Data Analytics, an option for accounting majors who wish to take the CPA examination after graduation. Both accounting degree options prepare students for numerous well-paying career opportunities.
The Accounting Department provides students with many opportunities to grow as leaders, build their professional network and serve the community. The Accounting Club gives students the latest information on the CPA exam, job and internship opportunities, exposure to recruiters and much more. Through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, students and faculty volunteer thousands of hours of their time each year to assist low-income families in our community.
