Biography

Kat Lemons joined St. Mary’s University in the fall of 2016 as an Instructor of Mathematics. Prior to St. Mary’s, Lemons enjoyed 10 years as a high school mathematics teacher and tennis coach in Texas, where she served as a mentor to new teachers entering the education field.

In 2013, Lemons began working with The National Math & Science Initiative (NMSI) as a consultant, where her responsibilities included mentoring new AP Calculus AB and BC teachers, and presenting at Student Study Sessions in Texas and in other states, where students attended in preparation for taking the AP Exam.

After receiving her M.S. degree, she began a four-year term at San Antonio College as an adjunct where she regularly taught Honors College Algebra, Precalculus or Calculus I.
