Biography

Lesly R. Krome, Ph.D., is the Chair and Program Director and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology at St. Mary’s University. Krome earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (emphasis in Industrial/Organizational Psychology) from Kansas State University.

Krome teaches in the graduate I/O Psychology Master’s Program at St. Mary’s University, runs an I/O Psychology research lab and enjoys facilitating student-led research projects. She has seven peer-reviewed publications and 17 research conference presentations.

She has also worked on and subsequently been awarded multimillion-dollar grants for research. Her favorite subjects of research are recruitment and selection, social media, gender and generational differences, leadership and motivation. Krome is passionate about teaching and focuses on Biography-Driven Instruction and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy.
