Gianfranco Semino joined the Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University as an undergraduate student in the fall of 2004 and returned as an instructor in 2015. During his time as a student, Semino worked for three years as a certified tutor in the areas of math, finance, and statistics at the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) in the Blume Library of the school. It was then when he discovered his passion for teaching and helping students discover and cultivate their talents.
In May of 2010, Semino joined Analytic Focus, LLC, a national statistics, finance, and economics consulting firm headquartered in San Antonio. As a consultant, Semino has developed ample expertise developing financial and economic models including cash flow reconstruction, feasibility and economic impact studies, and sensitivity analysis.
Prior to joining Analytic Focus, Gianfranco worked in the Risk Management department at USAA and the Marketing department at GModelo while pursuing his undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Semino holds a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees in finance and management from St. Mary’s University and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Aside from his work as a teacher and a consultant, Semino is an active member of the swing dancing and jazz community in San Antonio, serving on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Swing Dance Society since 2014.
