Alumni Association

The LAA is dedicated to supporting the School of Law by raising scholarship funds and serving students through programs and mentoring opportunities. Financial support is provided through a voluntary dues program. Over $100,000 has been donated to the School of Law to establish a Law Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund, fund emergency loans for bar review courses and provide breakfast during the Bar Exam, among other things.

The LAA Board of Directors coordinates many programs during the academic year to help law students find jobs. The association also recognizes a distinguished law graduate each year and cosponsors a reception with the School of Law to honor the recipient.

A representative of the Law Alumni Association serves as a voting member of the St. Mary's University Board of Trustees. The Law Alumni Association is an affiliate of the St. Mary's University Alumni Association.

Committees

The LAA selects directors and officers each spring and the Board of Directors accomplishes its goals through a number of active committees. If you are interested in becoming involved in the association, please contact the current president of the LAA or the Director of Alumni Relations who serves as the School of Law's liaison to the Board of Directors.
