Biography

Crystal Morris is an educator, counselor and mentor, inspiring youth and people of all ages. She has been in the education field for over fifteen years, working with at-risk youth, young adults, military service members, veterans and families. Morris is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified School Counselor (CSC), and the owner and clinical director at Butterflies Prospering Wellness Co. She has received “The Professional Counselor 2023 Dissertation Excellence Award in Quantitative Research”, has presented at numerous conferences, published a book chapter on integrative practices for adolescents and children, and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Research Interest

Morris focuses on research for wellness initiatives such as mindfulness-based strengths practices, positive psychology interventions, group interventions and creative modalities with adolescents, teens, couples, adults and military populations. Also, her research interests focus on holistic wellness, spirituality in counseling, mental health in the Black community, multicultural competence and social justice advocacy in counseling, relationships and PTSD/trauma.
