San Antonio – After two days of memorable play, Mother Nature wouldn’t allow for a third Saturday in the 8th Annual St. Mary’s College Classic.
Inclement weather forced the cancellation of the tournament’s third and final day of softball action, this after wiping out the Rattlers’ nightcap contest against East Central on Friday.
In all, 16 games were canceled due to the thunderstorms that swept through the area Friday evening, including the Rattlers’ matches with Southeastern Oklahoma State and Cameron on Saturday.
St. Mary’s (1-1) engineered and exciting comeback victory over Eastern New Mexico in its opener before succumbing to a comeback from Angelo State on Friday.
