San Antonio – The Heartland Conference only confirmed Monday night what Rattler fans already knew – Lamb Autrey’s breakout performance last week was pretty awesome.

Autrey, who scored a season-high 23 points on 11-for-12 shooting in a loss to Incarnate Word, was named the conference’s Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

The 11-for-12 mark ranked as the fourth-best shooting percentage on record in school history – and the junior guard came off the bench to do it, no less.

Autrey, a Cibolo, Texas native, has averaged 8.9 points per game this season.

Against UIW, Autrey hit an off-balance 3-pointer with 12 seconds remaining to help trim a one-time 15-point deficit to two in an eventual 66-62 defeat.
