Daniel Reyes, a sophomore Political Science major at St. Mary’s University, has been selected to receive a UPS Scholarship provided by the ICUT Foundation and its national partner, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

Reyes attended the Liberal Arts and Science Academy at LBJ High School, part of the Austin Independent School District.

This $2,600 scholarship is given to one full-time undergraduate student at each institution. Recipients must be first-generation, low-income, minority and/or new American students.

At the national level, CIC teams up with the UPS Foundation to distribute funding of the UPS Scholarship. Through this program this year, the ICUT Foundation awarded $101,400 in UPS Scholarships to 39 low-income students at private institutions across Texas.

About the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC)
