Eric Fortenberry, President and CEO of OrgSync, was the keynote speaker as St. Mary’s University hosted the Undergraduate Scholars Program Administrators Association (USPAA) Scholar Summit Nov. 1-3, 2013.

Fortenberry founded the campus engagement network in 2007. He spoke at the Bill Greehey School of Business about his passion for using technology and customer service to connect students with organizations, programs and departments at institutions of higher education. OrgSync has partnerships with more than 300 institutions and 2.5 million users.

Fortenberry has been named to Inc. magazine’s 30 Under 30 List of the World’s Coolest Young Entrepreneurs. He also has received awards at the White House and the United Nations for being named to the Empact 100 List, which showcases the Best Companies Started and Run by Young Entrepreneurs, for three consecutive years.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and he is pursuing a master’s degree in Software Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas.

The national conference included breakout sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Other guest speakers included Carlos Lopez, Herman “Butch” Hill, Diana Kao, Diane Zablotsky and Chaffee W. Viets.
