Another Bill Greehey School of Business student has landed a prestigious internship that speaks to the quality of both the St. Mary’s programs and the students themselves. Frederico Avila, a junior Finance major, will spend a month in the summer of 2013 in the Emerging Talent Program at UBS, which is a global financial services firm based in Switzerland.
Avila will spent one week in Zurich, Switzerland, at UBS headquarters, and the remaining three weeks at the company’s New York investment bank as a part of the fixed income, commodities and currencies group.
The selection process for the internship was strongly competitive, including a final selection round in New York that included four interviews and a presentation. Only 20 of the 1,500 applicants were selected for the program.
“I am proud to represent St. Mary’s and the Bill Greehey School of Business,” Avila said.
