St. Mary’s University will celebrate International Education Week Nov. 11-16 with the theme ” Exploring Our Spanish Connections.” A highlight of the week will be a visit from The Honorable Cristóbal R. Valdés, Consul General of Spain, who will be the keynote speaker at a luncheon on Monday.

Highlights of International Education Week include:

  • Official Opening of the Historic Exhibit titled “Exhibit El Camino real de los Tejas: Past and Present.”

  • International Career Day Luncheon, with keynote speaker The Honorable Cristóbal R. Valdés, Consul General of Spain.

    • Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center, Movement Studio
  • “Hispanic Imprints Upon a Howling Wilderness of Texas: Genesis of El Camino Real, 1685-1821,” with keynote speaker Felix D. Almaraz Jr., Ph.D., professor emeritus at University of Texas at San Antonio

    • Monday, Nov. 12, 3-4 p.m.
    • Louis J. Blume Library, Media Viewing Room, first floor
