San Antonio – Two goals, two assists – and now, one award for St. Mary’s forward Leah Snelson.

The junior from Dallas was named the Heartland Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, just one day after hitting on two goals and notching a pair of assists in a 4-3 road win over Texas Southern.

Snelson, an All-Heartland Conference First Team selection in 2011, scored the first two of the Rattlers’ goals and assisted on the next two, including on Kaitie Kasperitis’ game-winner with just over three minutes remaining in a 3-3 game.

Snelson has started all four games for the Rattlers (2-2, 0-1 in Heartland Conference), scoring six points on 17 shots.

St. Mary’s will return to action Friday, when it hosts East Central at 2 p.m. at Northside ISD Soccer Field.
