San Antonio – Ring the bell once more: Lady Rattler Valentine Lambrechts has earned another Heartland Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award, the league announced Monday.

The Rattler racket in the spotlight this week isn’t new to the shine, having won a previous conference award earlier this season. This week, Lambrechts (Jr., Belgium) got her praise from going unbeaten in her matches. She won her only singles and doubles competitions in a big win over Texas-Permian Basin. Lambrechts only gave up a single point in each set, winning the singles match 6-1, 6-1 and her doubles play 8-1.

The Rattler duo of Lambrechts and Kelly Cooper (Sr., San Antonio) hold a .500 win-loss percentage in doubles with two wins and two losses this season.

Lambrechts’ award this week racks up St. Mary’s tally of players of the week to three, the most out of any team in the conference. The Rattlers’ first two awards came back-to-back with Elisha Bryant being the first to be honored followed by Lambrechts.

The Rattlers now total six Heartland Conference Player of Week awards for both the men’s and women’s teams under first-year head coach Lisa Dausin.
