AUSTIN, Texas – St. Mary’s top three women’s golfers all lowered their scores in Tuesday’s final round, helping the Lady Rattlers to a 16th-place finish at the St. Edward’s Invitational.
Alejandra Cantu (Jr., Mission, Texas) dropped one stroke by carding an 86 for a two-day total of 173, while Julia Dickens (So., Fredericksburg, Texas) shaved off three strokes with an 86. Dickens also shot 173 for the tournament.
Camile Furgeson (So., Newcastle, Calif.) showed the biggest improvement, shooting 88 a day after shooting 96 for a two-round total of 184.
As a team, the Rattlers shot 719.
Tarleton State won the tournament at 613, while Incarnate Word’s Joanna De Sa Peirera won the tournament by carding a 144.
