St. Mary’s University School of Law is offering a new breakfast series to recent graduates designed to ease the conversion from law student to working lawyer.

“The transition from graduation through bar results is a tough time,” said Suzanne Patrick, Director of Career Services. “We hope these breakfasts will help our alumni to transition as smoothly as possible.”

The Power Breakfast series topics will range from stress and debt management tips to information on solo practice in Bexar County. The free program, sponsored by the Offices of Career Services, Academic Support and Alumni Relations, will be from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Luby’s Fiesta Room, 911 N. Main Avenue beginning on August 9, 2011.

The scheduled sessions are:

Aug. 9 – Updating Your Resume to Reflect Your Current Status
Aug. 23 – Law Alumni Association: How Your Association Can Help You!
Sept. 13 – Loans: What Now? Debt Management Tips
Sept. 27 – Waiting for Bar Results: Tips from Recent Grads Who Have Been in Your Shoes
Oct. 11 – The Countdown: Stress Relief Tips on How to Manage This Stressful Time
Oct. 25 – Going Solo? Court Appointments in Bexar County and Surrounding Areas
