San Antonio – St. Mary’s post player Kevin Kotzur was one of five players named to the Heartland Conference All-Tournament Team.

Kotzur, a sophomore from La Vernia, Texas, scored 14 points and hauled in eight rebounds in the Rattlers’ 61-59 loss to Texas-Permian Basin in the Heartland Conference Tournament semifinals.

Kotzur, also a first-team All Heartland Conference selection, was joined on the team by Newman’s William Burdette, Jamal Holden and William Burdette of UTPB and Texas A&M International’s Scottie Payne. Texas A&M International point guard Ryan McLucas was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
