San Antonio – Tyler Migl’s red-hot season is showing no sign of slowing down.

The reigning National and Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week was named the conference’s Hitter of the Week for the second straight week after batting .533 with six RBIs, one home run, two doubles, a triple and six runs scored over four games last week.

Migl also scored the winning run in the 11th inning of St. Mary’s 5-4 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State.

During the week, Migl had 15 total bases in 15 at-bats, producing a slugging percentage of 1.000 to go along with an on-base percentage of .611. He also drew two walks and was hit by a pitch once, while recording 26 putouts with a .964 fielding percentage in the field.

Last week, Migl earned National Hitter of the Week honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. He is believed to be the first St. Mary’s player ever to win the award.

Migl currently leads the Rattlers (12-3, 8-0 in Heartland) in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.529), RBIs (16), home runs (three), doubles (11), triples (1), hits (27) and runs scored (20).
