San Antonio – For the second straight week, St. Mary’s University volleyball player Kori McCarver has been honored by the Heartland Conference.

McCarver, a senior setter from Churchill High School in San Antonio, was named the conference’s Setter of the Week, the league announced Monday evening.

Last week, she earned Hitter of the Week honors.

McCarver led the Rattlers (5-8) to a 1-1 record last week, including a pivotal victory over the University of Texas-Permian Basin.

Keying the Rattlers’ 5-1 alignment, she averaged 7.44 assists per set and had a dominant all-around performance in a loss to Oklahoma Panhandle State, recording 38 assists, nine digs and nine kills.

St. Mary’s returns to the court Wednesday night, when it hosts Texas A&M International University at 7 p.m.
