San Antonio – After a season in which she helped lead the St. Mary’s women’s soccer team to its first 10-win campaign since 2006, senior Carolina Hernandez has been once again honored for her efforts.

The senior forward from El Paso, Texas was named to the Daktronics, Inc. South Central Region women’s soccer second team.

Having caught fire offensively midway through the year, she scored a team-high eight goals to go along with two assists. She was also named to the All-Heartland Conference first team.

Hernandez was one of 13 student-athletes named to the second team, a list voted on by sports information directors at NCAA Division II institutions from across the South Central Region.
