San Antonio – St. Mary’s University men’s and women’s golf coach Wes Skidmore announced on Wednesday the signing of San Antonio native Erika Patterson to a National Letter of Intent to join the Rattlers, starting with the 2008-09 academic year.

Patterson (Fr., San Antonio) was a four-year letterwinner for coach Randy Spivey at Winston Churchill High School. She helped CHS to the 2007 district and regional championships and a berth in the state tournament. She had an 85.0 stroke average as a senior. Off the field she was a member of the Honor Roll, the National Honor Society, was an Academic All-District honoree and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

St. Mary’s finished second on the men’s side and third on the women’s side in the Heartland Conference Golf Championships this season. Two Rattler women earned All-Heartland Conference honors this season: Amanda Anderson (Jr., San Antonio) and Jenna Wessels (So., Katy). St. Mary’s returns all six players from the 2007-08 season.
