San Antonio – St. Mary’s University volleyball player Samantha Weber was named to the Cameron University/Best Western Invitational Volleyball Tournament All-Tournament team for her play at the tournament last weekend.

Weber (Sr., Fort Lupton, Colo.) averaged 3.45 kills, 1.27 blocks and 1.73 digs, while hitting .225 for the three-match tournament. She reached double figures in kills in two of the three matches, including a high of 15 against Missouri Western State University in the final match of the tournament. Weber added a season-high eight blocks against MWSU as well. She was the only Rattler to earn All-Tournament honors.

The honor marks the third straight tournament that Weber has earned All-Tournament honors this season. She was an all-tournament selection at the season-opening St. Mary’s/Texas MedClinic Invitational and at the Rollins College Invitational previously.

Weber and the Rattler volleyball team are 5-6 this season and have won three of their last four matches. They will return to action tonight when they host West Texas A&M University at 2 p.m. at Bill Greehey Arena in the first match of a doubleheader. They will take on Heartland Conference foe Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 7 p.m. later that night. On Saturday the Rattlers will host Newman University at 2 p.m. at Bill Greehey in another Heartland match. Prior to the match the Rattler volleyball team will be honored for receiving the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
