PENACOLA, Fla. – St. Mary’s University women’s golfer Jessica Harbin shot a final round 81 to finish 18th overall at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf National Championship in play at the Stonebrook Golf Club Saturday.

Harbin (Sr., Tuscola) shot a final round 81 to finish the tournament in a tie for 18th place with a four-round total of 308 (72-78-77-81). She finished 15 strokes behind tournament winner Daniela Iacobelli of Florida Technological Institute. Maria Garcia-Austt of Nova Southeastern University was one stroke back at 294.

The performance completed Harbin’s career at St. Mary’s. Her 18th place finish is the second best for a St. Mary’s individual at the NCAA Championships. Jillian Wyne had the best finish in school history for a Rattler individual with a 10th place in 2002. Harbin had her best season to date in 2006-07, winning four tournaments and finished in the top 10 in nine of 11 tournaments this season. She had a 75.96 stroke average this season.

In the team competition Florida Southern took the title with an 1188 (297-296-293-302), while Rollins College made a late run, shooting a 297 to finish 10 strokes back. Ferris State was third, Drury is fourth and Tarleton State was fifth.
