St. Mary’s University partnered with Texas A&M University to help local small and medium-sized businesses in San Antonio better prepare to do business with the European Union by offering a free conference Friday, May 11.

 

The conference, called “Conducting Business with the European Union: Trends, Ideas and Approaches”  was held on the campus of St. Mary’s University.

 

The program was sponsored by the Texas A&M European Union Center of Excellence, the Center for International Business Studies of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M, and the St. Mary’s University’s Center for Global Business Studies within the Bill Greehey School of Business. 

 

The goal of the conference wass to educate businesses about key issues related to doing business in Europe, which can play a major role in exploring new business opportunities. The seminars will be conducted by faculty from both universities. Topics will include corporate law in the European Union, establishing a business in the EU, the evolution of the EU and the Euro, and practical insights for doing business in Europe.
