Santa Claus will join with members of the St. Mary’s University Police Department on Wednesday to distribute toys to hundreds of neighborhood children during the department’s 10th annual Christmas toy drive.

Santa will arrive promptly at 2 p.m. accompanied by a police escort – complete with lights and sirens – during the toy distribution at Chaminade Apartments, 330 West Cheryl Drive.

The St. Mary’s Police Department has been collecting toys for weeks from the St. Mary’s community. In total, more than 300 children are expected to benefit from the program. The department has already delivered toys to students at Loma Park Elementary.
