San Antonio — The Lady Rattlers’ playoff lives didn’t depend on Saturday night’s outcome, but they played like it did against St. Edward’s in their home finale at Bill Greehey Arena. Led by sophomore post Flavia Azinheira’s 37 points, St. Mary’s downed St. Edward’s 68-56 on Senior Night.
The Lady Rattlers, the third seed in the Heartland Conference, will travel to take on St. Edward’s again in the opening round of the conference tournament. St. Mary’s swept the Hilltoppers in regular-season play.
