San Antonio — St. Mary’s split its weekend series with Incarnate Word to remain one game out of first place in the Heartland Conference.
The Rattlers fell to the Cardinals 6-3 and won 9-5 at V.J. Keefe Memorial Stadium on Thursday, while winning 8-3 and losing 8-4 on Friday.
Junior shortstop Ryan Femath now leads the nation in the hit-by-pitch category (23).
