San Antonio – St. Mary’s led undefeated Central Missouri State University for much of the first half of Saturday night’s matchup at Bill Greehey Arena, though the Rattlers trailed by one, 27-26, at halftime. But St. Mary’s came out flat in the second half to fall short of the Mules, 79-52.
The Rattlers’ (3-4) loss came just three nights after a 94-49 victory over Huston-Tillotson at Greehey Arena.
Senior guard Steve Goff led the Rattlers with 12 points, while sophomore post Joe Allen pitched in six points and a team-leading eight rebounds.
Junior guard Jarvis Lee scored eight on 2-of-6 shooting from three-point distance.
