J.J. Edwards scored 21 points as the St. Mary’s men held off a furious challenge from their cross-town rival, the University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals, 67-65 Saturday in the Bill Greehey Arena.
Manny Hernandez scored 17 for the Snakes, and Billy White poured in 10
The win is the sixth in a row for the Rattlers (16-5, 6-0).
The Lady Rattlers were led by Eva Christian, who scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, in a 59-54 win over the Lady Cardinals.
Charlena Rodez and Lashena Hudson each scored 13 points for the Lady Rattlers (10-11, 3-3).
