The Nov. 19, 2013, installment of Community Conversations at St. Mary’s covered “Streetcars for San Antonio: Design and Impact on Downtown Development.”
The panel featured The Hon. Charles A. Gonzalez (J.D. ’72), Chief of Public Engagement for VIA Metropolitan Transit System, and Darryl Byrd, President and CEO of SA2020.
The conversation was moderated by Richard Perez, President and CEO of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
After the program, there was a question and answer session with the audience. Community Conversations events are held on the St. Mary’s campus in the University Center, Conference Room A. The events are free and open to the public.
The Community Conversations series is a part of the Institute for Public Administration, Politics and Public Policy at St. Mary’s University, which is housed within the St. Mary’s Graduate School. One of the primary goals of the Institute is to develop outreach programs that foster dialogue between the University, the public, government agencies and nonprofits to address important public issues.
