San Antonio – St. Mary’s Marcin Marczewski has quickly emerged as one of the top men’s tennis players in the Heartland Conference.
That much is clear after the senior from Warsaw, Poland was named the Heartland Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week on Monday – his third such honor this season. No other player in the league has won the award as many times as Marczewski.
Last week, Marczewski went 2-0 in singles play, knocking off competition from Temple and East Central. He split his doubles matches, going 1-1 for the week.
St. Mary’s will play at Incarnate Word at 2 p.m. Friday.
