San Antonio – Kristen Williams’ record-breaking performance has earned her Heartland Conference Player of the Week honors.

Williams, who last week had a program-record 19 rebounds to go along with 19 points in a 54-45 victory over Incarnate Word, was named the conference’s player of the week for the first time this season, the league announced Monday night.

Dominating teams inside with her hustle and determination, she posted a pair of double-doubles and averaged 20 points and 14.5 rebounds in two Rattler victories last week. St. Mary’s went 2-1 in the week.

Her 19 rebounds against UIW bettered the previous record of 18, which was held by four players, including Williams. She is averaging 11.5 points and 10.9 rebounds this season.

Williams is a senior post from Kansas City, Mo.
