The St. Mary’s University Music Department Opera Workshop will present “The Fantasticks,” a musical of a young couple’s coming-of-age story, April 3-6.

“The Fantasticks,” is a lighthearted musical about a boy and girl whose parents build a wall between their houses and pretend to feud in order to trick the rebellious children into falling in love. The 1960 production ran for 42 years, which makes it the world’s longest-running musical.
