On behalf of the St. Mary’s University Core Curriculum Committee Director, Megan Mustain, Ph.D., will receive the Association for General and Liberal Studies (AGLS) Award for developing a mission-driven and student-centered core curriculum, based on St. Mary’s commitment to faculty ownership of curriculum development.

The award promotes institutional commitment to continuous quality improvement processes, recognizes faculty and institutions that practice these behaviors and provides much needed examples of effective improvements.

The Committee’s recorded development of the St. Mary’s core curriculum will now serve as an AGLS model of innovative, effective and systematic general education improvement and assessment.

The award will be presented on Friday, September 26, 2014 during the 2014 AGLS Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
