St. Mary’s University celebrated the accomplishments of 522 new graduates during the 161st Spring Commencement Exercises Saturday, May 11, in Bill Greehey Arena of the Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center on the University campus.

The number of total graduates included 379 bachelor’s degrees, 141 master’s degrees and two doctoral degrees. The commencement speaker was Barbara Gentry (B.A. ’71), former Senior Vice President of Community Affairs at USAA. She administered USAA’s charitable contributions program and oversaw the community educational initiatives and volunteer programs. She also served as President of The USAA Foundation and as President of The USAA Educational Foundation.
