San Antonio – Little could escape the reach of Billy Richard’s bat last week. Now, that even includes the Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week honors.

The St. Mary’s baseball player was awarded the honor Monday after enjoying a big week at the plate last week for the Rattlers, who went 3-1 over the stretch including 3-0 in Heartland Conference competition.

Richard, a junior from Schertz, Texas, batted .450 with three doubles, a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored. He also posted a .750 slugging percentage and produced 15 total bases.
