Cary, N.C. – Although the comeback bid that became the Rattlers’ calling card in the regional tournament didn’t result in victory in the opening round of the national tournament, St. Mary’s was still fighting to the end Sunday.
The No. 1-ranked Rattlers scattered four hits over the ballgame against Delta State Sunday, scoring a lone run off a sacrifice bunt that proved not enough to defeat No. 2 Delta State in the 4-1 loss.
