POTTSBORO, Texas – Three St. Mary’s women’s golfers shot in the 80s Tuesday, as the Lady Rattlers soared to a tie for ninth place on the final day of the Pepsi Lion Invitational.

Alejandra Cantu (Jr., Mission, Texas) led the way by carding a two-round total of 168, while Cami Furgeson (So., Newcastle, Calif.) and Erika Patterson (Jr., San Antonio) each cracked the 80s Tuesday to help the Rattlers score a 704.

Cantu finished in a tie for 15th place individually. Furgeson shot 180 and Patterson 181, while Julia Dickens (So., Fredericksburg, Texas) shot 175 for the tournament.

Tournament host Texas A&M-Commerce led after one round, but Incarnate Word shot 321 in the final round to win the event. UIW’s Joanna De Sa Peirera won the individual title with a score of 154.

St. Mary’s entered the final round in 10th place.
