San Antonio – Kristen Williams’ final performance in a St. Mary’s uniform was a memorable one, as the senior post recorded 21 points and 17 rebounds in the Lady Rattlers’ nail-biting defeat to Texas-Permian Basin in the Heartland Conference Tournament semifinals.
And she has been honored for her effort.
Williams, a native of Kansas City, Mo., was named to the Heartland Conference All-Tournament Team.
She joined Newman’s Alex Adekunle, Haley Tidwell and Brittany Ward of St. Edward’s and Texas-Permian Basin’s Tammy Acosta on the team. UTPB’s Miesha Blackshear was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Last week, Williams was named to the All-Heartland Conference Second Team.
St. Mary’s lost to UTPB 64-59 in the conference tournament semifinals at Bill Greehey Arena on Friday.
