MUSKOGEE, Texas – Freshman Marko Lloyd turned in the best round of his young career as a Rattler, firing a blistering 1-under-par 70 in the second round of the 12th Annual Northeastern State University Golf Classic on Monday.

Lloyd, a New Braunfels, Texas, native, finished with a two-round score of 151, leaving him in a tie for 51st place entering Tuesday’s third and final round at the Muskogee Country Club.

Shawn Bennett (So., Marion, Texas) shot 154 to tie for 72nd place, while Sam Jernigan (Sr., San Antonio) carded a 156 to tie for 82nd place. As a team, the Rattlers enter the final round in 17th place with a score of 616.

Arkansas-Fort Smith leads the team standings at 569, while Rogers State’s Preston Bartley is atop the individual leader board at 135.
