San Antonio – No longer a rookie in her craft, St. Mary’s cross country coach Arlynda Flores undoubtedly has learned a lot over the past year.
And that has the former Lady Rattler softball standout thinking big in her second year leading the cross country team.
A year after finishing fifth at the Heartland Conference championship, the Lady Rattlers have been pegged to finish sixth in the preseason poll, as voted on by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.
St. Mary’s will launch its season at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Texas A&M International Meet in Laredo, Texas.
